I started this a number of years ago as a lap blanket for my mother in law, but she moved into a care home which was always toasty warm so I abandoned it. I picked it up last year when I was discharged from hospital after myocarditis, with instructions not to exercise until all tests normal again. Completing this one for my daughter instead, and making several more of these got me back into practice for knitting all sorts of other things, and I managed to stay off my bike and on the sofa for 4 months. I'm now completely recovered and luck to have no lasting effects. I put this down to knitting!
