Hi Jennifer, this is knitted beautifully and I hope it is appreciated. I have had a look through your other projects and we must have similar tastes. Keep up the good knitting.
Thanks Sandra. I am not sure how much he has worn it. He said the v neck was a bit low. I think I could have done a size smaller for him. I don't think he realises how much work is involved in making it.
Jennifer, this is lovely. There is so much work involved in these man sized projects. I have become obsessed with Aran/cable sweaters since seeing so many amazing sweaters on here. I have promised my husband I will knit one & have 3 new patterns, but I keep starting other projects so he is gradually sliding down the list. Poor man has even picked the colour and yarn from Bendigo yarns! Did you buy your yarn from overseas?
I bought this yarn from loveknitting. It is wool mixture, I didn't buy pure wool because I knew it would be washed in the machine. It was alot of work but we are travelling around Queensland at the moment and I knit while we are driving as well as at night.
@Jennifer M: you sound just like me, we went on a road trip to Victoria and I managed to get 1.5 sweaters knitted up for the girls. Enjoy your time in Qld, where are you at present?
@Lyn R: We are at Lake Awoogna just south of Gladstone a beautiful quiet spot just loving it. This is our first big trip in our caravan but I am in denial that we are grey nomads
Thanks Val,he received it on Monday and rang to tell me he was wearing it and that he had been looking for one like it. So it was worth all the work I think he was tickled because I haven't knitted him a jumper since he was a little boy.
