    About

I knitted this sweater twice. Once for my husband in the charcoal and mustard colours shown in the original pattern and the other one in charcoal and navy blue for my son. I knitted a couple of beanies with the wool that was over. The Cascade yarn knitted up beautifully it was lovely wool to handle. I could not be more pleased with the results as were my husband and son.

Yes I put the sleeve stitches on holders. The cast on of the stitches is so you what would be a normal sleeve. I.e. You normally cast off stitches when starting your raglan sleeve if you were knitting it the normal way, but as you are knitting upside down so to speak you are just working in reverse same goes for the knitting the body of the sweater. Hope this helps.

Hi, can you help me to understand this pattern, when you start knitting the body, I'm confused at the cast on stitches, do you then put the cast on stitches on the holder for the sleeve? Also the yarn is at the wrong end to continue knitting, do I need to cut and rejoin? Any help will be appreciated thanks
