I have to be honest and say because you're knitting with three strands of yarn at once, if you used an expensive yarn, it would cost an arm and a leg! For this reason I have used a budget yarn Robin 100g DK, a mid blue, a light blue and a mint green gave me this effect.

I have been asked to knit a mermaid tail blanket each for my three granddaughters aged 2, 8 and 15 for Christmas!! No pressure then! I love the look of this pattern. The 15 year old wants light blue and I love the pic of yours. What yarns did you use please? Xx
