    About

Finding a pattern for Mickey was not as easy as I thought it would be but eventually I found one on the vintage pattern site on Etsy. It was originally printed in the 1960's and first thing I realised was how lucky we are with modern PDF pattern designers, with extensive instructions and clear images taken from all angles. This pattern had limited instruction and a few lines for the making up.
But despite being a challenge I completed him and if I ever do another I would make his face a little more cute, overall I'm pleased with the result.

Your knitting is outsanding. I'm sure Minnie or my favourite Donald Duck will be next.

Thanks Jackie, have to say there were a few tantrums with this one. I think Disney is over for a while but Rupert Bear is in the pipeline.

Ohh he is so cute, you have made a fantastic job of him Christine. I agree with you about some vintage toy patterns, I brought a Peter rabbit one and was unable to do it.your customer will be thrilled with Mickey, wonder if they will want a Minnie mouse now.lol😊

Thanks Michelle, I think the difficulty understanding patterns was the reason I gave up knitting on any major scale for years, I admit I need pictures.
Yes the lady was happy, no more Disney but a very welcome Rupert Bear.
