    I had a stash of Stylecraft Special DK and was not sure what to do with it. I looked on Loveknitting and found this pretty pattern for this relaxed-style cardigan and started knitting

      I've just brought this pattern and reading and like you already have some DK balls of wool. On reading the pattern needles of 5.00mm and 5.5mm this size I would associate with Aran wool. Did you change the needles? Denise

        Hi Denise
        No, I did not change the needle size. Using the 5 mm needles gave the pattern a nice open weave that helped give definition to the st st and allowed the finished garment to hang better.

        @Sue C: I started this pattern with DK but it seemed too open so I frogged it. Maybe I should have carried on!
