I wanted to use up "odds and ends" in my yarn stash. I wanted to translate / re-create the lovely ikat work from some of my hand-loomed sarees... and ta da! I simply colorized a relief ripple stitch by changing colors every 2 rows.
.
Worked in one piece to underarm then divided for fronts and back, then the sleeves. Nehru style collar achieved by simple shaping / decreases. Sleeves worked in turned rounds from edge of armhole - seamless.
Only 2 stitches uses: single crochet, and front-post double crochet. The same 12 rows repeat. The color gives it life!!!
