    Saw the pattern on Love Knitting and thought I'd give it a go. It was my first time knitting a garment from the top down with circular needles. Added crocheted scalloped edging as wasn't too keen on the way the edge curled up.

      After I cast on, there was no way I could join this in the round. The stitches filled about 1/3 of the 40" circular needle. Plus, the 105 stitches I cast on would not fit over an average head. What am I doing wrong?

        Hi Jackie I used misty alpaca which comes in 100g skeins that you can buy on this site (I bought mine locally) I needed 6 of them
