Hi I'm wondering if you can help me with this pattern. On the main body of the skirt do you do the knit rows on the right side or the wrong side? My pattern doesn't look anything like the picture...
And as you're yarning over, it obviously increases the stitches right? So every row won't end on the last step everytime? If that makes sense
Anyway I've been knitting for a while but getting back into different pattern instructions so I'm confused. Any help would be much appreciated xx

Hi Laura. If you knew how many times I had to undo and redo various rows on the skirt of this pattern, you wouldn't be asking me for help. :)
The knit rows are on the right side, but it's not something I thought about much because the dress is knitted in the round. It does take a little while for the pattern to start taking shape.
Yarning over does increase the stitches, but rows with yarn overs usually also contain k2tog, k3tog, DD or SSK, which decrease the stitches again. So you'll find across each row you'll maintain 156 stitches, except row 4. The sequence in row 4 creates 2 extra stitches every time it's repeated. So at the end of row 4, you'll have 182 stitches. But then the sequence in row 6 will bring the number of stitches back down to 156. I hope that makes sense. So in answer to your question, every row should end up on the last step every time. If you get to the end of a row and find you're not yarning over, you've probably gone wrong somewhere - as happened to me a lo

@Angela M: sorry to bother you again I'm confused when you said the knit rows are on the right side when row 9 in joining in the round is a right side? Ahhh this pattern is driving me nuts haha

@Laura T: No problem, I know the feeling. I'm working on another pattern and have had to unravel it twice already because I didn't read the pattern properly.
I'm not quite sure what you mean? Rows 1-7 indicate whether each row is a RS or WS. Once you get to joining in the round, all rows are knitted on the same side. I might have misunderstood your question?
