My first pair of gloves.

I made this for myself and as another use for my sock yarn stash.

    About

My sock marathon continues but I was keen to try using this pattern on my sock yarn. My but they’re more fiddly than socks and I didn’t expect to say that. They were on the needles for a bit as other projects came in but I reckon they took about 30 hours - I’m not fast!

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
King Cole Zigzag - 1622 Chestnut

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 2.50mm (US 1.5) 10cm
    • Double Point 2.50mm (US 1.5) 15cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : The shorter DPNs made the knitting less fiddly:- on the second glove which might explain the slight size difference, my tension on the 15cms might not have been as good as on the 10cms.

    Measurements

    Medium

Notes: I confess that I have to keep these for myself because the first glove is slightly larger than the second. It’s a definite fault by me, the thumb on the first doesn’t sit properly and the fingers are longer: you can see it on photos 3 (2nd glove) and 4 (1st glove), however they fit me fine so I’m happy. Of course being me I’ll have to try again till it’s perfect!

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one intimidated by this pattern😉.
