    About

I love making tea cosies and after making the leprechaun one I wanted to try and make this one for our kitchen
I have never actually made hair like that and not sure if I did it right but I had fun.
Well, I wasn't happy with the way I sewed her head to her body, so beheaded her😯😯 and redid the head last night with lots !! of help from Alison the designer.😊😊
One of the pictures is of my first attempt, I am so glad I redid her.

Oh thank you I love the wee leprechaun too, I think I will have to make one for me to keep, as that one is for a pressie😊😊
Well you have been busy with your knitting, and now you have the twins on the way you will get to do all baby things again Jennifer. If Nicole is successful I will be watching what you make as I love the things you knit.i hope you have a lovely time in Lawn Hill they say it is an out of the way place but so worth it.😊😊

Oh thank you Jennifer, I didn't see your comment, yep i wasn't happy and like the alpaca had to try again, but that's the joys of knitting toys. How is your daughter keeping,my daughter went to all her appts for IVF this week and starts injections or something next week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Are you staying in Alice Springs long, or where are you off to next, this is fun following your travels.😊😊

We are in Alice Springs until Sunday and Monday morning we are making our way to Lawn Hill in North West Queensland. Just a slight detour! Greg has always wanted to go there. It will take a few day sto get there. Good luck with the IVF, it is a real journey.

Hi Michelle I love this little cutie she made me smile as she put me in mind of Julie Walters in Acorn Antiques as the waitress (in a good way)
I like her hair it’s part of her character and the little sprinkle beads on the cake are great

Thank you Hazel, I have fun picking out the colours and adding things like the wee buttons. It was fun doing the hair as I have never attempted before.😊😊

Thank you Jennifer, I love the way her hair worked out and I thought the buttons were fun, but I'm going to behead her tonight as Alison sent through a pic of what the head should look like before attaching to tea cosy and you know what I'm like it will annoy me now.
So what is Alice Springs like it's one of our main tourist areas, but I really don't know if it's very modern etc.its funny when we went to Cairns it was so different than what I expected.😊

It's the same thing with Alice Springs l thought it would be a town surrounded by dessert but it's in between the Macdonnell Ranges and on the Todd River which is completely dry at the moment. It is a nice town, very security concious.

She’s just wonderful, Michelle, I love the colours and the details - especially the beads and buttons! Very imaginative I have to say and a special touch.
