I’ve found a website that may help it’s newstitchaday.com and look up popcorn stitch (that’s what this stitch is- a bobble is much bulkier)

Sorry not to have replied sooner-I struggled with this too until I made sense of the ‘knot’ instructions at the end. This is what I did -get to the stitch that is going to be the knot- into that stitch only knit( without taking it off the needle) bring the yarn forward and purl into the same stitch, take the yarn back and knit into the same stitch, yarn forward and purl, yarn back and knit so you end up with 5 loops made from one stitch. Then you pass the 2nd,3rd, 4th and 5th stitch over the first. So you’ve only used one stitch but you’ve ended up with a cluster. I’ll try to find a decent link that may help. (I’ve made a lot of Aran sweaters with bobbles so I was used to this) Good luck with this lovely blanket. Also have you seen the Tree of Life pattern which you might like too.

you have knitted this blanket so beautifully. I am having trouble with the knot stitch. every video I watch uses 3 stitches pearled, knitted and then pearled together. but in this pattern only one stitch is used. help please if you can. Cheers Sue
