    About

I just returned from two years on the other side of the world and was met with the great news that one of my friends was having a baby! She is one of those people who really appreciate hand made things, so I wanted to find something really pretty and useful to make for her! This pattern is a little fiddly, and is perfect when you have time to really get stuck in!

I’m not sure what part exactly you got stuck on. I find that if I have markers after every repeat, that helps me keep track! It’s a fiddly pattern! Is it that you are left with too many or too few stitches?

Is it row 5 that's the problem or the rows after that? The way row 5 is written isn't very clear but the knitting is: it's just: k1,p1,k1: purl to last 3 stitches, then k1,p1,k1. Row 6 is p1,k1,p1 (lace pattern to last 3): p1,k1,p1. Keep repeating this for the first 3 and last 3 stitches with the lace pattern in between. Hope that helps - I think I've got the hang of it now!!

Thanks, Susan! I'm not sure about the bub, but the mum seemed to like it! ;)

Thanks! I really like the way it turned out, but I tell you, I was tempted to throw it out the window once or twice... It's fiddly work for the likes of me!
