    About

This is for a customer for a tiny little man. It's a soft and cosy yarn and a simple, modern style. Mismatched buttons add the finishing touch. Matching edging this time instead of my usual contrasting one gives it a classy finish. Such a quick and easy knit. Love it!

Nice looking cardigan, but pattern very expensive for such a plain knit

Is the tension on this pattern right for using DK? - thanks

The tension on the pattern is correct but should say in sportweight yarn not DK ... Sorry for the typo!

You can make this cardi in DK but as the yarn is slightly thicker it may be best to knit the next down size so it's not huge ... If you do knit it in DK and for the size written it will last a bit longer as babies grow so fast!

I have just downloaded this pattern and knitting it in Debbie bliss Eco baby which is same tension as your suggested yarn. I'm knitting a tension square and its ginormous! Never have a problem normally always spot on . Are 4mm needles correct? As pattern says tension square knitted in DK !

Hi Louise ... So sorry you're having a problem with the sizing ... Loveknitting asked for my pattern to showcase the MillaMia sportweight yarn although I originally designed it in DK on 4mm needles I still used 4mm needles with the MillaMia ... Although sportweight it's more like a 4ply and a tad finer than Debbie Bliss sport yarn ... You could try going down to 3.5mm needles and see if that's better for you?
