    About

I wanted a side to side pattern that would be a great style for the colour-changes in the Noro yarn. I've knitted this up once, but felt that it was too short for me, so frogged it and started again. The cardi is knitted flat in one piece, with the Rib being picked up and added afterwards. A circular needle is needed due to the length of the front-to-back section and rib. Mine is based on the Medium (36") size, but have added more stitches to the length, I made the rib wider and did long sleeves. Got bored while doing R-front, so added in a 6 sts/3 row repeat of YO, P2tog. I wanted the colours of the Noro yarn to be fully focussed, so decided not to put buttonholes directly into the border, but instead made Frog Fasteners from some jewellery cord and perfect matt black buttons bought at the local market.. So actually, it's only very loosely based on the Cascade pattern ;)
