      Hi,
      You're a beautiful knitter.
I'm just doing the sleeves to this cardigan but as a newcomer to knitting I'm a bit stuck when it comes to the increasing. I'm knitting the 4th size. Wondering if you or anyone on here can help.
May seem like a silly question to all of you experienced knitters but after the rib when it sets the pattern 1-4th row it says to increase on 3rd row. Then the instructions say to inc 1 st at each end of 5th and following 6th row for the size Im making . So here's the question .....Do I STILL increase on the 3rd row at the same time or do I lose the M1 on that row and just increase on 5th then every 6th row. Not very good at explaining myself but hope you can understand. As I say probably obvious to you but ???
      Thanks.
Liz...Not sure why I'm listed as Paul...that's my husbands name. x

Thank you, I was very pleased with this piece. I think when it says 'sets the pattern' that is the double moss stitch textured pattern of the sleeve. You will have to incorporate the increase stitches into that as you make them. The first increase, as you say, is on the third row, but you would then follow the increases as given, on the fifth and following sixth rows. Hope it works out well for you.
P.S. The only silly question is the one you don't ask!
