    About

I promised myself I would make myself something every month to try to reclaim my knitting "me" time! This month, a pair of Owl Gloves! This pattern by Adelaide Yeomans was such fun to knit - just enough rib and cable to keep you excited as the owl appears! Cascade Heathers is a dream to knit and you'll easily get at least two pairs of gloves out of one skein.

Although I have not learned how to knit yet...(I am still learning to crochet) I have been collecting pattern ideas for knitting. I promised myself that I would only make things that I absolutely love. This pattern just made the top of my list! You have inspired me to get started with beginning knitting lessons asap!

I love these owl gloves! I make a fair amount of fingerless gloves and this is the cutest pattern I have seen. Your choice of color is wonderful & your knitting is lovely! I may just have to make a pair for myself also!

These are adorable! With three granddaughters (who LOVE Harry Potter!), these would be the perfect Xmas gift. LOL I bet even my daughter would love a pair!

These look great. I love the colour too. I have saved the pattern. It looks like something I could manage although I have not done cable before.

Hi Chris! Honestly, these are such fun to knit! The cabling is very easy and the instructions are there in the pattern - it's very easy to follow, each row is written out. It is SO liberating! You'll be thrilled! And the Cascade yarn is lovely! Although the pattern is written for chunky yarn, I wanted mine in aran/worsted weight, and they are absolutely fine size wise. Can't wait to see a picture of yours!!! mx
