    About

Having already made two of these in a row, I was reluctance to make a third straight after! However when my 3 year old Niece came up to me and asked with the cutest voice ever 'Can I please have pink mermaid tail Auntie Roisin'. I could hardly say no!

My top this for this - Get a cable length that is best for the number of stitches you cast on. Working with a cable that's too long massively slows you down.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 3.75mm (US 5)
    • Single Point 6.00mm (US 10) 30cm
    • Circular 6.50mm (US 10.5) 80cm
    • Circular 8.00mm (US 11) 80cm
    • Single Point 8.00mm (US 11) 30cm
    • Single Point 6.50mm (US 10.5) 30cm
Other : I found having a knitting dolly was easier for making the tube. Rather than dpn's. Once you have finished making the cocoon and feet section, you cast off and then pick the stitches back up, Rather than picking these up with my needle ( this is rather diff

    Accessories

    • Stitch Markers
    • Cable Needle
    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Holder

    Measurements

    Age range: 2-3

Notes: I actually needed a size for a 3 year old, who's quite diddy. I casted on 90 stitches as suggested, but only worked the cocoon length to 22" not 27 as suggested for the 2-3. 27" inches would of buried her. However the pattern is so easy to adjust and instructions are given on how to measure.
