    About

I made the first teddy blanket for a bit of fun, and ended up giving it to my daughter's friend for her baby shower. She loved it so much, she showed it to her friend - who also loved it and really wanted one for her baby too! I made this one in Red Heart Baby Aran, as I felt the previous blanket was a little rigid and didn't drape well. This was so lovely to crochet with - really soft with fabulous stitch definition. It was absolutely the right choice of yarn. I also used a 5.5mm hook instead of the 5mm I used last time, which helped the drape of the finished fabric. The border is crocheted in double knit, to make it feel more delicate. I'm really proud of this blankey!
