I always intended to knit a rainbow cardigan for both of my little grand daughters, so it was doubly hard trying to choose seven colours for each one, and to overlap some of the colours to save buying so many balls! Hannah loves pink, so I based her colour range around that. I now have plenty of Aran yarn left to knit some more garments for little people! As with Sarah's rainbow cardigan I used bigger needles [6 mm] to get the right gauge and knitted the pattern one size up.

The actual instructions for the LEFT FRONT are:
"...from shape raglan armhole:
Cast (bind) off 3 sts at beg of next row. 25 [27:30:32:35] sts.
Work 1 row, ending with a ws row.
Break off M and join in A.
Joining in and breaking off colours as required, now work rem section of raglan armhole in strip sequence (see above), working shaping as follows:**
Dec 1 st at raglan armhole edge of next and 5 [6:6:7:6] foll 4th rows, then on fol 0 [0:2:0:3] alt rows.19 [20:21:24:25] sts.
Work 3 {1:1:1:1] rows, ending after 2 [2:6:4:4] rows using D and with a ws row.
...then instructions continue with shape front neck."
If I "work 3 rows" using D color as instructed above, that rainbow section will be 3 rows short
