    About

I had originally called this my Garden Cardi, at the time I didn’t realise that the Rico yarn would knit-up to look just like tree bark!!!! It has unofficially been renamed the Tree Cardigan.
Using Drops 94-26 pattern as basis, but with some changes/additions:
    Lower body knitted in 1 piece: front 27sts, back 52sts, front 27sts = CO106sts.
Sleeves knit-in-round: CO30sts. Garter Sts cuff 6.5cm, then Stocking Sts
Cabled Piece - was originally going to put this around the bottom but changed my mind, so adapted it to be used down the front.
    CO30sts & made up a sts pattern: G3, Stst3, Cf8, G2, Cb8, Stst2, Lin4
Pickup around bottom edge of body, work as Yongbao 6 row pattern with Linen St edge. Could have done this from original CO if I’d decided at start :/
Lined with microfibre fleece lining. Used skirt/trouser fasteners.
It’s taken longer to handstitch the lining and fasteners in place, than it did to knit the d#mn thing.

Not keen on Drops patterns myself find them difficult to follow they have some beautiful patterns too but I find I have to pass them by. Your cardi is amazing some work in it well done. A great winter warmer for sure.
