    About

Saffron went through my patterns to see what she would like and chose this pattern. I had to buy a bobbin holder from USA as I was getting so tangled up with 13 colour changes on one row for the vertical stripes - a touch added expense, but hopefully I can use again for another project. I also managed to find some celtic style buttons from Wales which were not too expensive, which my daughter is chuffed with. Taking a bit longer than usual to knit as twisting yarn every 10 stitches! I also started to knit with a circular needle which is impossible with so many colour changes. I therefore had to abandon and start again with single needles.

    Pattern

    Striped Cardigan - Rowan Book 9 - Design 16

    This pattern is from:
Rowan Book Nine (Nine) — Kim Hargreaves

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 3.25mm (US 3) 25cm

    Accessories

    • Buttons
    • Stitch Markers
    • Stitch Holder
Other : 15 vertical stripes across back therefore, I purchased a 'graphgan' yarn bobbin holder from ‘Novelty Knits Boutique’ to stop the yarns tangling. It worked out rather expensive (postage, customs and Post Office handling fee), due to purchasing from America.

Love the bold vertical stripes, stylish and chic. Enormous amount of work what with specialist yarn holder and technique. Wonderful. This is a very lucky person!

        Thank you for your comments.
It certainly was a challenge in terms of keeping at it to the end. It took a lot longer to make than I'm used to, but with my daughter looking forward to wearing it I couldn't even think about giving up on it.
