Saffron went through my patterns to see what she would like and chose this pattern. I had to buy a bobbin holder from USA as I was getting so tangled up with 13 colour changes on one row for the vertical stripes - a touch added expense, but hopefully I can use again for another project. I also managed to find some celtic style buttons from Wales which were not too expensive, which my daughter is chuffed with. Taking a bit longer than usual to knit as twisting yarn every 10 stitches! I also started to knit with a circular needle which is impossible with so many colour changes. I therefore had to abandon and start again with single needles.

It certainly was a challenge in terms of keeping at it to the end. It took a lot longer to make than I'm used to, but with my daughter looking forward to wearing it I couldn't even think about giving up on it.
