    About

I needed a warm hat quickly, so decided to have a go at this one. It was my first attempt at making a Fair Isle pattern. I actually used one size round needle, as that was all I had at the time. I used a crochet hook to gather the remaining stitches to draw up the hat. Very pleased with outcome. I will make again using double-pointed needles.

Thanks Michelle. Yes it was my first attempt. I was pleased it came out ok. Although I did use a round needle as I didn’t have the point ones. So I will make it again to match the pattern. Really needed a warm hat!
