    This is the second ever shawl I knitted and my most proudest achievement. There was a point when I was knitting it that I nearly gave up, as I seemed to have been knitting if for ages but I carried on and I eventually finished it. I wanted to knit a rather large shawl as I wanted it to cover quite a lot of me. I have fair skin and burn very easily in the sun and I want something light to wear that would give me a bit of protection without making me hot. I didn't get chance to wear it that much, the weather was a bit naff but I'm hoping to wear it more next year. There was supposed to be a fancy edging to the shawl but that required you to do some crochet and I'm not very good at crochet so I didn't do it.
    The pattern didn't say to use stitch markers but I did so that I knew exactly where the centre so I could keep it in the right position throughout.
