    About

I had this downloaded pattern for ages. I recently decided to knit it in Rowan rowan finest. Once I got over the problem of the errors in the pattern (the pattern had since been revised so I had to download the corrected one) and restarted for the third time ( on 257 stitches!) it all went well. I had some yarn left over ( from my 4 balls) and so I made some fingerless mitterns ( flat knit - my own pattern) reprising the shawl edge pattern to make them match. Didn't quite have enough wool so ( ever resourceful) I supplemented some grey 4 ply and added some stripes on the second mitt with some swiss darning on the first to make it all coordinate.
