Shawl

I made this for I don't know. Myself, or whomever claims it.

    About

I started this shawl sitting in a waiting room at a hospital. I didn't need a mindless knitting project, I need something to get lost in-even if for a little bit. I knew that keeping my fingers busy was the key to my sanity.
I love this pattern. It I knit the body of the shawl in an afternoon and was ready for the border by that evening. The 16 row repeat for the border was perfect for me. The repeat is just long enough to keep you engaged (16 rows). I had never knit Celtic cables. I absolutely love them. It was really hard not to steam block it as I went along.

I finished the body. How do I connect/switch to the border? I just knit the last row, adding the four stitches at either end. Do I purl the next row and then do the border? I don’t cast off?

This looks absolutely beautiful. I downloaded the shawl pattern, but struggled interpreting the set up for the border.

I like your remark about busy fingers. Beautiful job on a beautiful shawl. Love the soft neutral color as well.
