    About

My fluffy sheep appear on this new cushion design which I have called "Sheep on the Hillside". I now have 3 cushions featuring these very popular sheep - Sheep in the Countryside and Flock of Sheep.

Knitted in double knitting yarn except for the sheep and clouds which are knitted in Sirdar Snowflake Chunky yarn.

If you already have DK yarns (8 ply) in similar colours they could be used as long as they match the tension gauge of 22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm (4 in) over stocking stitch on 4 mm needles

The cushion is knitted in one piece and the back has a button opening and is knitted in stripes of 5 rows per colour.

For fun I have added daisy buttons to the meadow amongst the sheep.

There are large, coloured charts to follow for the intarsia knitting together with full instructions for those knitters new to intarsia.
