The success of a project depends in part upon the suitability of the yarn for the pattern. This yarn is perfect for this pattern. Love, love. love this yarn. It is glossy, soft and strong. The pattern is well-written and clear (and FREE). The scarf is reversible. The edges roll a little bit, but this looks kind of nice on both sides. The scarf is delicate enough to be worn indoors.
The website states that this yarn is worsted weight. It's not. It worked out quite well on size 2 needles and I think I knit with average tension. Size 3 or 4 might have made for easier knitting, but I like the result with the size 2. The description also calls it "nubby". I would not call it nubby. It is luxuriously soft and silky.
