      I love this version of the pattern.
      I have made this pattern a couple of times and I I agree that keeping the diamond pattern and shaping the top takes a lot of concentration. I will definitely give your version a try.

        You are very kind, thanks. At the moment I am knitting Hennie's fox jumper and watching TV. Lost count of the number of times I've lost concentration and had to unpick a few rows!

      Thanks Denise, but I confess that I had trouble keeping the pattern straight when decreasing, so I had to modify it (hangs head in shame).
