I made this for a friend who lives in the jungle, near an active volcano. (Really!)

    About

A friend of mine asked me to make her a slouchy hat that she could wear in humid conditions. I chose cotton as the fiber, hoping that it will be more comfortable (less itchy) than wool.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 5.50mm (US 9) 20cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers

    Measurements

Notes: Cotton yarn is not as stretchy as the yarn specified in this pattern, so I increased the ribbed headband by 20 stitches. When it came time to decrease, I divided the stitches into equal sections, and K2tog at the end of each section to return to the 100 stitches the pattern specified.
