I have included the pattern for this but I confess I gave up on following it about half way in. The first step is to cast on 5 stitches and then distribute them across 3 double pointed needles. This was almost impossible to do! The needles kept slipping out because there was almost nothing holding on to them (even with my grippy bamboo needles) and I had to start from scratch several times.
Eventually I ditched the DPNs and knitted it on flat needles, sewing the seam up at the end. I decided to display the knit side instead of the purl side even though the latter is what seems to be showing on the pattern, just because my purl side looked so appallingly messy.
I'm still not completely happy with the result but it does at least look like a strawberry, albeit a bit of a knobbly, porous one. I only used old scraps of wool so I don't know what weight it was, but I think the red needed to be thicker as the knit looks gappy.
