    About

    Spring will be coming soon and my mum and I love daffodils. I found this lovely free pattern on www.oddknit.com. It is knitted in separate parts - petals, trumpet, stem, and spathe. I did decide to add a leaf to the stem which isn’t in the original pattern. I thought this would make a lovely cheerful spring birthday gift for my mum.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 2.50mm (US 1.5) 20cm
    Other : I used smaller needles than stated in the pattern

    Accessories

    Other : Florist wire #18 gauge and floral tape to insert into the knitted stem.

    Measurements

    Length of stem 26cm

    Notes: I used smaller size needles than the pattern suggested and also added a knitted leaf.
