    About

I had this in my Ravelry queue since the pattern came out. I waited to have more experience knitting before starting this as the lace intimidated me. I was so wrong as it was very easy to knit! Mary Annarella has wonderful patterns and are so well written that even a beginner could knit this! I had more problems with my tangled skeins than anything else. I could have finished in three weeks had it not been for the yarn. I did work two more rows before putting the sleeve stitches on hold as the armholes were not very deep for size 30''. I only used 2 skeins of yarn not 3. I do not recommend this yarn at all!! My second skein was a tangled mess and no one returned my e-mail at Madelinetosh. I won't be buying it again.

Really pretty and beautifully knitted. I had a go at this pattern, it all went a bit wrong (see “it’s complicated” in my profile ) but I’m going to try again soon!

Sorry, pressed the wrong key before I'd finished. You can also get plastic ones very cheaply on Ebay. I also have a yarn winder which makes deaing with skeins of wool extremely easy.

This is beautiful. I noted that you were having tangling of your yarn skeins. You should roll your skeins into balls before you start knitting with all of these designer yarns. You can get someone to hold their arms out for you, use 2 chair backs etc but the best way to do this, is to buy a yarn swift. You can buy beautiful wooden Amish style ones very cheaply
