    About

This time I used Sirdar Alpine, it’s a lovely soft fluffy wool and combined it with a bit of Sirdar Touch which has made a lovely effect and it’s so super soft. I really like this bear. I think it’s going to be for my niece who is now four for her Christmas pressie.

I love this bear, the alpine wool makes it so cuddly. I might have to try this one myself.

Thanks Helen, I’ve just used black felt for the nose and then stitched it on and black wool for eyes 😊

He is soooo cute and I don't usually even like bears that
      much. He is very special.

Oh my goodness! How beautiful is she? How big do these bears work out in that yarn? What needle size do you use? I tried some on a hat I'm designing and realised 1 ball wasn't going to be enough so had to frog it.

Not really that big Pat, she’s knit to about 9inches sitting and 11inches toe to ear tip but and I’ve only used 5mm needles and I bought 3 balls. I love this yarn, it might be my new fave! It would be lovely for a hat!

@Helen B: Thank you for the information, turns out to be quite a big bear then. I'm just designing a hat pattern lol not sure it's what you have in mind though, aviator hat in 6 sizes? lol

@Helen B: I knew there was another brand that did a similar yarn but just couldn't think what it was!! Thank you for reminding me :)

Starlight is absolutely gorgeous and has the cutest face, combining the two yarns works so well you must be so pleased. My question Helen is just how did you manage stop cuddling it long enough to take the photos! 😍
