    About

The pattern and yarn were a free gift but I decided to bust my stash by using odds and ends from previous projects in order to improve the quality of my unicorn. I am experiencing 'stash guilt' and I blame LK because of the latest competition. I had a look at my stash and realised I buy yarn for a project and the project gets put on hold for the next big thing. Hopefully this annoying feeling won't last ????

Jinx, Hazel! What a coincidence. I've planned to make unicorns for our niece's birthday next month. Absolutely love the colour combinations on your unicorn.

It's a great pattern and quick to knit up. I wanted to use primary colours from my stash as they stand out more; I ended up giving it to my grandson.

@Na.Y: the unicorn is currently sitting on his rocking horse along with the panda and Ralph. Paddy loves shaking the unicorn to see the mane move!

@Hazel H: I could just imagine him gleefully doing so! I planned to have Abby's unicorn in purple with yellow mane & tail just because they're her current favourite colours. You know how children can be rather fickle with their favourite things. But I might reconsider rainbow ones after seeing yours & how much Paddy loves it. Thank you so much for the inspiration, Hazel!

@Na.Y: Purple with a yellow mane and tail sounds lovely but I understand the fickle nature of children's favourite colours; my granddaughter says hers is pink but then changes like the weather (in the UK).

Thanks, I''m glad I decided to use my stash rather than the yarn that came with the kit.
