    About

I though this pattern was a brilliant concept, so wanted to have a go at making it. This version will be for my mum :)

The basic pattern is a simple 3-6 row rpt of 2 knit & 1 purl row (although in my case it's easy to forget if you're supposed to be doing K or P next... spot the mistakes!!) I got a bit carried away and made section 3 - the Central section using my yarn doubled, so that it made it chunkier. And also added a cable along both edges!!

This one is basically the middle size (scarf), though it will be big enough for a wrap as my mum is short like me :)

Note: I just prefer to use circular needles

Haven't seen these before but I love the idea, it looks good from all angles too.

Hi Christine, it's basically the same format as a keyhole style scarf but much bigger. Apparently 'Yongbao' is Mandarin for 'embrace' (which was reason enough for me to have a go!!) and the lady who published the pattern has done it in 3 sizes: shawl, scarf (mine) and neckwarmer. It's a free pattern and if you wanted to have a go, it's here.... https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/yongbao
