Summer cardigan for Sarah

    I saw this beautiful lacy short sleeved cardigan on the Raverly website and thought it would be perfect for a summer/autumn cardigan for my grand daughters in Hong Kong. It was knitted bottom up which I find a little more challenging than top down when it comes to the sleeves. In the end I chose to knit the sleeves on normal needles with a short side seam which was easy to incorporate with sewing up the little underarm seam. The lacy pattern was not difficult but the overall pattern layout was a little unusual. I used Jeny's Stretchy Bind Off on the neck.

        When we were in Hong Kong in July Sarah told me her favourite colour was purple, so I checked out the lovely Rico Cotton.
