    Inspired by beautiful super chunky cable knit patterns I incorporated a bold gull cable with a simply cosy twisted cable design.

    I often like to contrast striking colours and have often been asked if it would be possible to buy a hat with an interchangeable pom pom.

    Forever inspired by my language and culture (French and Spanish) I named this hat Nouvelle Vague which comes from my love of French 50s and 60s Nouvelle Vague cinema - a wave of individualism and innovative interpretation of film. This pattern represents my interpretation of contemporary design, allowing you to create something bold, unique and individual to your style.

    There were a couple of challenges in this project - being my first pattern - I spent time testing and working out the correct number of stitches to cast on to incorporate the cable designs. I also tested various snap fasteners to ensure the bobble would fasten securely on to the hat. Time well spent for the perfect statement bobble hat.
