While I am happy with the end result, I really did not enjoy working with this pattern. I have made items with cables a number of times, but this pattern calls for cabling every other row, which I found annoyingly fiddly and time consuming. I was also not happy with the way the button band was turning out using "pick up and knit", so after struggling with it for quite a while, I gave up and knit the neck/button band as a separate piece and sewed it on afterwards. Much better!! I decided not to make any other items in the set, after making the sweater.
