    About

One rectangle down, 11 to go. I've struggled to keep track of which line I've been on so took three attempts to get this far. It's a lot more delicate than my popcorn WIP but am thrilled it seems to have come out like the picture in the pattern

31/3 Well it's as finished as it will ever be. The tips I received about marking up my place in the pattern and using a lifeline proved invaluable. I am really pleased with the 12 rectangles themselves. I'm more disappointed with the finish. I struggle with the making up stance and abandoned the border completely. Something I really need to improve on. I concentrated on creating a baby safe blanket over finishing touches. It not great but it the best I could do in the circumstance. Will try again

Keep going it is beautiful. If it helps get a little note book (I use scrap paper sometimes) write down the rows all down one side, not the pattern just number, like row 1, row 2. then as I knit each row I put a tick . It works when I am picking it up and putting it down between other things. If the pattern is written row for row, cover it over with a piece of plastic, then you can cross each row out as you go, then wipe it off when you finish the square and start again. Hope this is helpful. Keep knitting I look forward to seeing it finished.
