    About

Jackson who is almost 4 has a new little sister Lily, so I wanted to knit something for him as well as for the new baby. The basic stitch pattern is very easy to knit and remember. The most challenging part of this project for me was carrying the colours neatly down the sleeve whilst knitting with circular needles. I used 'Jeny's Stretchy Bind Off' [You Tube} on the neck as I was a bit anxious about this being too tight. Whilst it is great not having any seams to sew up at the end I still find it a bit more of a hassle knitting with a large circular needle / magic loop method than on two needles. Overall I am pleased with the finished product just wish it was a little bit bigger!

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.50mm (US 4) 60cm
    • Circular 4.00mm (US 6) 100cm

    Measurements

    5-6

Notes: I knitted a 5-6 size but 4 yer length as I am quite a tight knitter. Even then it is going to be only just big enough for Jackson who is nearly 4!

It is gorgeous and beautifully knitted. I have same problem make things a bit on the small side and can't get my head around knitting in the round despite knitting for 60+ years

@Denise: That is brilliant and I hope I am too. It was a bit of a shock to me also realising Ihad been knitting that long. I was about 8 I think. My Mum was an avid knitter. My hands don't like it sometimes but I ignore them as I can't give it up. Addicted!
