    About

Saw the pattern, already had the wool and my son has 2 tabby cats, so adjusted the pattern a little for size and kept my fingers crossed. Haven’t decided about the hat tail yet. Hopefully will be a nice surprise for his birthday in February

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
Wool craft superwash sock yarn 4 ply - Shade 4474 1 ball

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.50mm (US 4) 80cm
    • Circular 2.75mm (US 2) 80cm

    Accessories

Other : I use an old small crotchet hook to weave in ends rather then a tapestry needle , roughly size 1.75mm

    Measurements

    60 - 66 cm

Notes: Firstly I increased the number of stitches by 24, so 2 extra cats and one extra pyramid on the decrease section to get an extra extra large size using 3.5mm needles for the body and 2.75mm for plain rib. The cats weren’t standing out enough (I wanted subtle!) so by omitting the pattern above the cats their heads became clear to see. Used the magic loop method throughout.

What lovely colours, it is just like the cat that thinks it owns my garden.

Must admit I prefer cats on a hat than in my borders! I love the latitude luxury sock colour, have done a slouch hat in it and thinking of making a shawl with it too.
