    About

I copied the color scheme and the fair isle design from pattern "Snowy Day Toddler Fair Isle", but did not actually use the pattern. I wanted a cardigan, not a pullover, and this is my own pattern - top down seamless. I used Knitpicks Swish DK yarn in colors Delft Heather, white, black and Sugar Plum. I really like the fair isle design. It is interesting, and yet the longest float is 3 stitches. Yay. And, from a design standpoint, the 3 rows of white above and below the black diamonds provide space for the yoke increases. I experienced a small moment of knitting triumph by finally mastering the long tailed cast on for the first time. Phew.
