    About

I had a batch of green (sprout!) yarn that I had purchased to knit myself a cardi, but never got around to it, so decided to incorporate it in this lovely Sirdar jacket. This was the first time I have ever attempted Intarsia knitting, so let me say it was a steep learning curve, but I hung in there. Now I am going to knit a larger size for the eldest granddaughter.
I had completely forgotten how to do lazy daisy stitch, as haven’t done one of those in over 50 yrs, not the best I must say.

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
      Morris Estate 8ply 100% Australian Wool - Jacaranda 8027 2.0 balls
    • material-yarn
      Morris Estate 8 ply 100% Australian Wool - Apricot 8034 1 ball
    • material-yarn
      Morris Estate 8ply 100% Australian Wool - Sprout 8043 2.0 balls

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 4.00mm (US 6) 120cm
    • Single Point 3.25mm (US 3) 35cm

    Accessories

    • Stitch Holder
    • Tapestry Needle
    • Buttons

    Measurements

    1-2 years

Notes: Top of sleeves seemed big to fit into armhole so I reduced stitches by a few K2 tog. on final row before casting off.
Not keen on set in sleeves, I think raglan sleeves always sit nicer.

Thanks Michelle, it was so rewarding to see the 2 granddaughters wearing these when I visited them in Vienna in October.
