You've done a perfect job Beverley, well done. I saw this pattern too and thought it would be so great for my grandson. Plus I also saw a blanket in the same pattern and colour.

I used to knit all the time many many moons ago, but it's literally years since I have, so I'm getting back into it. Are you a seasoned knitter and how did you find this to knit? Just wondering if after all this time, how I might go with this. Thanks, Peta :)

Hello PETA glad you liked my version of the kiddies jumper. Like yourself I knitted years ago when my children were young, but life gets in the way and you forget what you used to enjoy so when one of the girls in the office started knitting it fired up my interest again!

I'd forgotten how warm picture patterns are for little ones to wear as the wool is doubled across the back when you pick up the different colours, also you have to keep the wool quite slack when you change colours otherwise your garment won't lie flat!

I took the vertical road out of the pattern as I thought it looked too busy. Have a go at the jumper there is no shaping to worry about.

        Good luck
        Beverley
