    About

It is my daughter’s birthday in late Nov so decided to knit her a sweater that I can take over with me when I visit her in October. It certainly was a challenge, after I had almost finished it I read their recommendation that it was for ‘the bravehearted’. Stitch on main sweater is travelling rib, using cable needle for every 3rd stitch. Dropped sleeves are done in moss stitch. Must say I was very happy when I finally finished this one!

Love this Lyn, I would like to knit it for my grandson. Where did you purchase the pattern?

Hi Mary-Ann, the downloadable pattern is available from Deramores. Just google it and you’ll find it.

Thanks for your kind comments. It's a beautiful soft lightweight yarn & the colour should suit my blonde daughter.

Thanks Christine, I also found a typo in pattern which made me think I was misreading the pattern as it just didn't gel. I contacted the pattern publishers who agreed pattern had an error in it.

Thank you Alison, I was pleased with the colour, but rather annoyed that of the 10 balls I purchased, there was a knot in 8 of them. Yarn wasn't exactly cheap either.

I know what you mean about yarn. I have a cupboard under the stairs, which my husband calls the cave, it is full of yarn. Though when we were coming away, I took a fair bit out to bring, may have to re-stock when we get back!!

From Deramores, I received an email showing new patterns and just had to buy it ( as if I don’t have enough patterns already,) but at least the downloadables don’t take up any physical space, unlike my yarn!

I love it Lyn. What alot of work. It is beautifully knitted. Is the back patterned or moss stitch?

The 2nd pic down is the back, also patterned. The first pic came out almost true to colour, but for some reason the others resembled a wishy washy grey!
