    About

Rounded toe pattern. CO 14 stitches per needle, Inc to 32 per needle.
    Going to try FLK heel.
Slightly modified pattern, so that the purl stitches are centred more.
I really like this wool.. Very soft to knit with…

Got most of the first foot done. 2 humongous mistakes. Frogged and started again. Note to self: don’t drunk knit.

I love the heel, the fit is perfect. However, it’s a bit tight over the instep. I’ll put in a mini gusset on the second sock (4 stitches over a couple of rows should do it).
OK, so it turns out 2 gusset stitches either side of the foot doesn’t quite do it. The sock is still a little tight over the instep. I’m determined I’m going to get the fit right, as I really like the look of these his heel! Next sock I make will have 4 gusset stitches on either side.
Still too tight across the top of the foot. Will try again on the next sock, adding more stitches a little earlier.

It took me several attempts at socks to get the fit right for me. I found doing toe - up worked well as I could try the sock on as I went to make it right!

Interesting to hear your thoughts on fit of these socks. Why not try using larger gauge needles, 2mm seem very small to me.

I like the density of the fabric I get from using 2mm, but do find it cam be a little tight over the ankle at times. I've occasionally used 2.5mm, maybe I should try them when I reach those tight areas!
