    My mum is coming to visit me in Barcelona and I haven't seen her in almost 3 years. So I wanted to make her a special gift for when she arrives in 2 weeks.
    I decided on this gorgeous scarf pattern from Louisa Harding's Susurro pattern book, however seeing as it's summer, I wanted to knit it in a light 4-ply rather than the aran yarn the pattern calls for. Since I was knitting in 4-ply, I make the neck-band wider so that I could add this lovely vintage button I found in the haberdashery section at the famous heirloom shop L'Arca (Carrer dels Banys Nous, 20, 08002 Barcelona). I wanted it to have a timeless and mature feel seeing as it's for my mum!
