When I was young I wanted to go to the London School of Fashion and study textiles so that I could design knitwear. Like most people of my generation it was never to happen, life got in the way.
Fast forward to retirement, and here I am, book in hand (Designing knitwear by Deborah Newton) and my ideas book getting fuller by the day.
I just loved the colours of the water lilies and also the shape of the leaves, so I am working of shapes and motifs until I find what I want and then hopefully I will design and knit my first shawl.
