    About

My son is getting married outdoors in Northern California where it can get cool at night. His fiancé and I searched Loveknitting for a pattern and the color of lace-weight yarn we needed to match her dress. She was tickled because she has been to the place in Singapore for which this pattern is named.
The pattern was challenging requiring a special cast on and a crochet cast off, but the pattern had links to tutorials. The lace section required a triple yarn over into which you make 16 stitches, and I did it!
The yarn was the finest I have ever used but it worked up beautifully and is soft as a cloud with the mohair content of the yarn.

Notes: Ito Sensai yarn is very thin lace weight yarn so I increased the number of stocking stitch repeats to 28. Luckily the pattern allows for this. I also changed to one size larger needles for the lace portion.
